- New Hampshire: Pinkham Notch
Trail, New Hampshire
1985. This golden
autumn trail led me to go hiking spontaneously. I almost didn't survive.

- New Mexico: Carlsbad caverns, one
and then another
version of images at a famous part of the King's Palace. Bandolier
National Monument, May 2002These are May 2002, my first foray into digital photos,
Minolta Dimage 7.
- Rats Sculpture Garden, New Jersey (Seward): Lady of the Lake, August 2002. There is a unique sculpture garden surrounding a restaurant in New Jersey called RATS. Here's a sample.....and another, The Renoir Boating Party.

- San Francisco 1986: Ghirardelli

- San Francisco 2003: The Acquarium... provides
some good shots if you're lucky. Starry,
starry night and Backlit,
for instance. All shots May, 2003.
- San Francisco 2003: The waterfront is one
thing that distinguishes the city. From the skyline
to the seals....
Then, there's Alcatraz. There's really not that much ON
Alcatraz, but the views make it worthwhile. Kinda
ironic, isn't it? You're a prisoner, let's say. But you
get a view they pay a $1,000,000 for in Sausalito. Sort of
cruel and unusual punishment in its own way. View one is that
skyline shot; and view
two over the barbed wire, and view three over a building.

- Sausalito: There's not much to do here. But go anyway. It's not far from SF. The views are spectacular. Here's the densely populated harbor. And here's one of the art galleries--I call it "reflections in glass." May, 2003.
- Roses and butterflies. Everyone fools around
with macros. First, you do your basic
rose shot. Then, you look for something different. Call
this one "Glory
is Fleeting."
Of course, after the roses come the butterflies.Try

- Torch, Statute of Liberty, on tour with Independence Hall in the background. This 1986 tour saw the torch mounted in front of Independence Hall. An historic shot. July 2002 scan.
- United Airlines terminal, Chicago, When this opened , around 1987, I saw the chance for a futuristic photo, and in retrospect, it is one of my best. All Rescanned 2002. Here's another version that is more colorful but I don't like as well. Then, try this and this. I had fun with these. Scanned, July 2002.
- Venice Beach, Calif 1993. Rescanned June, 2002. Frenetic activity always; and everyone seems toned and taut, if, of course, they're not wasted. :) A composite shot of a skater in motion. Here's a closeup if you want just one.
- Yosemite National
Park, 1986. June, 2002 scan. It's so easy to play with
photos these days--maybe I prefer the saturated
version.
